Slowpitch Softball Bats

Choosing a Slowpitch Softball Bat

Begin with the certification required by the league or tournament. Then compare length, ounce weight and balance. Many slowpitch bats are 34 inches, but available weights and approved stamps vary by model.

Balanced bats distribute weight more evenly. End-loaded bats carry more mass toward the barrel and may suit stronger hitters who prefer that feel.

Alloy, Composite and Wood-Composite Bats

Alloy bats are generally game-ready. Composite bats may require break-in and can have temperature restrictions. Wood-composite models provide a different feel and may have separate approval requirements.

Inspect the bat regularly and follow all manufacturer instructions for break-in, care and legal use.
