Competitive baseball families preparing for summer tournaments, showcases, and the next school season should prioritize legal equipment, properly fitted, position-appropriate and reliable under heavy use. Review bats, gloves, cleats, helmets, protective gear, batting gloves, bags, and training equipment, replacing only what no longer supports the player’s current level or upcoming schedule.

Players traveling to Cooperstown should pack approved bats, a broken-in glove, batting gloves, a helmet, protective gear, non-metal cleats, turf shoes, uniforms, sunglasses, cooling supplies, and a well-organized baseball bag. Families should inspect every item before leaving and bring practical backups for bats, batting gloves, laces, socks, and position-specific equipment.

Investing in top-tier gear means nothing if the bat’s engineering actively fights your natural mechanics. To unlock your true potential, you must match the physics of your equipment to your unique baseball swing.

Rewrapping your bat grip is one of the easiest, most affordable ways to improve control, comfort, and overall feel. A properly wrapped grip gives you a secure connection to the bat, helps reduce vibration, and lets you swing with confidence, whether you’re grinding through BP or stepping in during a big at-bat.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to wrap your baseball or softball bat grip the right way, just like the players we work with every day.
