New Balance Baseball Cleats Size Guide
Men's Models
New Balance Men's Baseball Cleats
Men's New Balance cleats and turfs like the FuelCell 4040 and Fresh Foam 3000 are sized in men's. Measure your foot heel to toe and match it to the length column. Women buying a men's model should go by foot length here rather than converting from a women's size.

In Between Sizes?Go up to the next half size. We never recommend sizing down, and New Balance says the same. A cleat that is too short jams your toes on every stop and cut, and there is no breaking that in. A half size up still locks in through the laces and leaves room for game socks.

Regular or Wide
New Balance Widths
New Balance is one of the few cleat brands that builds a true wide. We carry select models in both. A wide is the same length as a regular, just roomier across the ball of the foot.
| Fit | Men's Width | Women's Width |
|---|---|---|
| Regular | D (Standard) | B (Standard) |
| Wide | 2E | D |
Who Should Go WideIf your regular-width cleats leave pressure marks along the outside of your foot, your pinky toe goes numb, or you always end up going a half size long just to get width, try the wide. A New Balance wide adds roughly 3 to 4 mm across the widest part of your foot without adding length.
Kids & Youth
New Balance Kids Baseball Cleats
Kids' cleats start at a size 1 and run up through the big kid range. Go by foot length, not age. From size 1.5 up, a kids' size and a men's size are the same foot length, so bigger kids can shop the adult chart above.
| US Kids | Foot Length |
|---|---|
| 1 | 7 1/2" / 19 cm |
| 1.5 | 7 5/8" / 19.5 cm |
| 2 | 7 5/8" / 20 cm |
| 2.5 | 8 1/8" / 20.5 cm |
| 3 | 8 1/4" / 21 cm |
| 3.5 | 8 1/2" / 21.5 cm |
| 4 | 8 5/8" / 22 cm |
| 4.5 | 8 7/8" / 22.5 cm |
| 5 | 9" / 23 cm |
| 5.5 | 9 1/4" / 23.5 cm |
| 6 | 9 1/2" / 24 cm |
Growing FeetKids grow fast, but a cleat that is too big is a cleat they will trip in. Buy the size that fits today with a thumb's width of room in the toe. Do not size up two sizes to get through the season.
How to Measure
New Balance sizes are based on heel-to-toe foot length. Measure in the late afternoon when feet are at their largest.
Three Steps
- Stand on a piece of paper with your heel lightly touching a wall behind you.
- Mark the end of your longest toe and measure from the wall to the mark.
- Measure the other foot, use the longer of the two, and match it to the chart above.
BTL TipMeasure in the socks you actually play in. Baseball socks are thicker than everyday socks and can push a borderline size up half a step. Not sure between two sizes or between regular and wide? Come by the shop and try them on. We carry New Balance cleats and turfs in adult, women's, and kids sizes.
