The Supra -5 has a balanced feel that makes the jump to a heavier bat easier to manage. We like it for an older, stronger travel-ball hitter preparing for BBCOR who still wants good barrel control. It has plenty of pop and fits a gap or middle-of-the-order hitter who prefers the smoother feel of a two-piece composite.

The 2026 Louisville Slugger Supra (-5) USSSA Baseball Bat brings a balanced two-piece composite design to stronger travel-ball hitters preparing for heavier bats. It offers a large barrel profile with a smoother, more flexible feel than a stiff one-piece model.

Its APX Composite barrel is designed for a responsive, game-ready feel. Louisville Slugger’s VCX3 connection helps control vibration and allows the barrel and handle to move more independently. The XPND end cap supports the barrel profile, while the Pro Design Knob Taper provides a more comfortable transition from the handle into the bottom hand.

The balanced profile makes this -5 more manageable than many power-focused alternatives, but it still requires the strength and mechanics to control a significant increase in weight. It is best suited to experienced youth hitters progressing toward high-school bat specifications.
