The Select PWR carries more weight in the barrel and is made for a middle-of-the-order hitter who wants to drive the baseball. We like it for stronger players who already prefer a loaded bat and want that extra weight moving through the ball. When it’s squared up, the ball jumps, and the barrel carries through contact really well.

The 2026 Louisville Slugger Select PWR (-3) BBCOR Baseball Bat combines an extended EXD Premium Alloy Barrel with a composite handle for hitters who deliberately want a power-loaded swing. Its two-piece hybrid construction provides more vibration management than a one-piece alloy bat while maintaining a firm, connected response.

The 3FX-PWR Connection joins the barrel and handle through an extra-stiff interface designed to transfer energy efficiently. The extended alloy barrel creates added barrel presence, making this model better suited to stronger hitters who can maintain bat speed and timing with a loaded profile.

A lightweight SPD-Gen3 End Cap supports barrel performance, while the Pro Design Knob Taper and LS Pro Comfort Grip shape the connection at the hands. Players prioritizing maximum adjustability and barrel control may prefer the balanced Atlas.

All BBCOR bats are -3 drop. The goal is finding the longest bat you can still swing with full speed. When in doubt, go shorter.

Our Take on 34" BatsWe almost never put a high school player in a 34". Unless you are 6'4" and 225 lbs or bigger with proven bat speed, a 33" will serve you better. Most HS players swinging a 34" are giving up exit velocity without knowing it. Come in and we will put you on both in the cage.

BTL TipWhen in doubt, go shorter. Bat speed wins every time. Come swing both lengths in our demo cage and you will know in 10 swings.
