The All-Star Pocket is a 27-inch catcher’s training mitt built around one specific task: receiving the baseball in the pocket. The reduced catching surface puts the focus on hand position during receiving, blocking and transfer work.
Its standard hand opening is intended for older catchers even though the mitt itself is small. Steerhide leather, a closed two-piece web and an adjustable wrist strap make it a usable part of a regular practice routine. The black-and-tan colorway keeps the look familiar.
The Pocket has less padding than the larger Focus Framer, so it is best suited to controlled, lower-velocity drills. It is a focused practice tool rather than a replacement for a full-size game mitt.
