Wood Bats
All wood bats we carry are -3 drop. Sizing follows the same principles as BBCOR. Wood punishes poor bat speed more than any other type — when in doubt, go shorter.

BTL TipIf you are playing travel or high school ball in Arizona, you are going to need a wood bat. Most summer tournaments around here are wood bat only. Wood is also the best training tool in the game — the sweet spot is smaller and mishits are unforgiving, which forces you to be more precise with the barrel and build better mechanics over time.
  • Swing Weight: Balanced
  • Turn Model: JMC1
  • Barrel: Medium
  • Handle: Thick
  • Knob: No-Knob Design
  • Finish: Gloss
  • Color: Natural / Steel / Carbon Black
  • Player Model: Jeff McNeil JMC1
  • Alternate Model Names: JMC6 / U1 / JP13

The JMC1 stands out because its no-knob design creates a different connection at the bottom hand than a traditional flared or square knob. The thick handle and medium barrel keep the profile balanced and controlled through the zone. It’s a distinctive Jeff McNeil model for hitters who like a substantial handle and a smooth transition all the way to the end of the grip.

What does “no-knob” mean?

The handle end does not have a traditional raised knob, allowing the bottom hand to rest against a broader, smoother end.

Does the JMC1 have a balanced swing?

Yes. Its thick handle helps balance the medium barrel.

Is this Jeff McNeil’s model?

Yes. Dove Tail identifies the JMC1 as Jeff McNeil’s preferred signature profile.
