The Hype Fire -5 is a great fit for an older, stronger travel-ball hitter getting ready for BBCOR. It has a balanced feel for a -5, so the player can add weight without giving up too much barrel control. This is a hot bat with plenty of pop, and we like it for gap and middle-of-the-order hitters who want to drive the ball.

The 2027 Easton Hype Fire (-5) USSSA Baseball Bat is built for stronger travel-ball hitters preparing for the eventual transition to a -3 BBCOR bat.

Its TCT composite barrel supplies a large, responsive hitting surface within the 2 3/4-inch barrel profile. Easton’s ConneXion Max system joins the barrel to an Opti-Flex handle, creating a smooth two-piece feel throughout the swing.

The heavier -5 drop puts more mass behind contact than the -8 and -10 models. A Balanced swing profile keeps that added weight controllable for advanced youth hitters who have the strength and mechanics to handle it.

The Gen2 In2uitiv Feel Soft Knob creates a comfortable connection at the bottom hand. USSSA certification makes the bat ready for qualifying travel-ball competition.
