Wood Bats
All wood bats we carry are -3 drop. Sizing follows the same principles as BBCOR. Wood punishes poor bat speed more than any other type — when in doubt, go shorter.

BTL TipIf you are playing travel or high school ball in Arizona, you are going to need a wood bat. Most summer tournaments around here are wood bat only. Wood is also the best training tool in the game — the sweet spot is smaller and mishits are unforgiving, which forces you to be more precise with the barrel and build better mechanics over time.

The RA13 is the bat we would show a confident hitter who wants a wood-composite model with real barrel presence. Its End-Loaded feel helps put more mass behind contact, and the reinforced construction makes it practical for players taking a lot of swings during the season. The Ronald Acuña Jr. profile is more than a name on the bat—it reflects the kind of powerful, aggressive swing this model complements. If you like feeling the barrel work through the zone, the RA13 should be high on your list.

What type of hitter matches the RA13?

It is designed for a stronger, experienced hitter who controls the barrel well and wants an End-Loaded bat for driving the baseball.

Is the RA13 only a batting-practice bat?

No. It is BBCOR certified and approved for Perfect Game play, so it can be used in qualifying competition as well as practice.

How does the RA13 differ from a balanced wood bat?

The RA13 carries more of its mass toward the barrel, giving it a more powerful feel through contact than a Balanced model.

Why choose the wood-composite RA13 instead of a standard maple bat?

The internal composite tube provides added reinforcement while retaining the firm hitting feel of its maple exterior.
