The RCKLESS GEN 2 Hybrid carries more weight in the barrel and has a smoother feel than the one-piece version. We like it for a middle-of-the-order hitter who prefers a loaded bat but still wants some comfort in the hands. It has plenty of pop, and the extra barrel weight helps the bat carry through the ball when it’s squared up.

The 2027 Marucci RCKLESS Gen 2 Hybrid BBCOR Baseball Bat combines a responsive AZR alloy barrel with a PFX composite handle. Its two-piece design gives hitters the performance and feedback of an alloy barrel while using the composite handle and Outer-Locking System connection to manage vibration at contact.

Multi-Variable Wall Design Plus uses precisely varied barrel-wall thicknesses and CNC machining to create a broader, more responsive hitting surface. Marucci’s ring-free construction allows the barrel to flex without internal restrictor rings, while the TFX Endcap supports performance toward the end of the barrel and helps soften the feel of distal contact.

The PFX handle is tuned by bat length to adjust its flex characteristics, and the removable hand taper and radiused knob shape the connection at the bottom hand. This is a practical BBCOR option for hitters who want more vibration control than a one-piece alloy bat without moving to a full-composite barrel.

All BBCOR bats are -3 drop. The goal is finding the longest bat you can still swing with full speed. When in doubt, go shorter.

Our Take on 34" BatsWe almost never put a high school player in a 34". Unless you are 6'4" and 225 lbs or bigger with proven bat speed, a 33" will serve you better. Most HS players swinging a 34" are giving up exit velocity without knowing it. Come in and we will put you on both in the cage.
