The TVT is similar to a 243, with a large barrel and end-loaded swing, but the tapered knob gives the bottom hand a different feel than a traditional 243. We like it for hitters with quick hands who want to combine barrel control with some extra power. This Natural and Mint colorway gives Trea Turner’s model a clean look.

The Marucci TVT Pro Exclusive is Trea Turner’s maple wood bat model, built with a large barrel and an End-Loaded swing. Its extended hitting surface gives hitters the barrel coverage to attack pitches throughout the strike zone.

A thin handle and tapered knob provide a comfortable connection in the bottom hand while allowing the barrel to work freely through the zone. Marucci completes the TVT with a bone-rubbed surface, PRO-X finish and Turner’s signature on the Natural and Mint colorway.

All wood bats we carry are -3 drop. Sizing follows the same principles as BBCOR. Wood punishes poor bat speed more than any other type — when in doubt, go shorter.

BTL TipIf you are playing travel or high school ball in Arizona, you are going to need a wood bat. Most summer tournaments around here are wood bat only. Wood is also the best training tool in the game — the sweet spot is smaller and mishits are unforgiving, which forces you to be more precise with the barrel and build better mechanics over time.
