The Rawlings Heart of the Hide PROR314-2XPE is an 11.5-inch infield glove for competitive players who want the familiar control of Rawlings’ 31 pattern and the durability of premium steerhide.
The 31 pattern and I-Web create a versatile infield shape that works particularly well at second base and shortstop. Its 11.5-inch length provides enough catching surface for dependable ball control while staying compact enough for quick transfers. Third basemen who prefer a smaller glove may also appreciate it, although players wanting maximum reach and pocket depth should consider an 11.75-inch model.
Heart of the Hide steerhide provides a firm, structured shell designed to form around the player’s preferred pocket. The glove will require purposeful break-in and should retain its shape better than softer, game-ready alternatives.
This is a strong choice for travel, high-school, college, and adult infielders who want a premium traditional glove rather than a heavily softened model.
