This is the left-hand-throw counterpart to the JD48 already optimized. Its closed web and deeper pocket make it a better pitching and third-base option than a quick-transfer middle-infield glove. Expect a traditional premium break-in rather than an immediately soft feel.

The Rawlings Pro Preferred JD48 is a premium 11.75-inch baseball glove built on Jacob deGrom’s professional pattern. Its deeper 200-pattern pocket and closed Two-Piece Solid web give it the control, reach, and ball concealment needed for pitching while remaining useful at third base and other infield positions.

Full-grain kip leather gives the glove a smooth, refined feel while maintaining the structure needed for long-term pocket formation. Pittards sheepskin lining improves comfort and moisture management, while 100% wool padding helps the pocket retain its shape as the glove breaks in.

The 11.75-inch length supplies more reach and pocket depth than a conventional 11.5-inch middle-infield glove. That added security is beneficial on hard-hit balls and plays around the mound, although it will not feel as quick as a smaller transfer-first pattern.
